Skipper license - this is how it works
With the “Boat Skipper B” license you can easily get your yacht driving license
The Croatian coastal patent “Boat Skipper B” is the best, simplest and most cost-effective Possibility of obtaining a skipper's license. Our training, which has been tried and tested for years, includes a one-day theory course and practical training on a sailing or motor yacht. We will send you the script in advance for self-study. Immediately after the practical training, the exam takes place at the port office in Zadar. The best thing is that we will accompany you until you successfully complete the exam.
Practical training
Our 3-day skipper training in Sukosan (10 km from Zadar) from May 4th to 5th, 2025 includes all important maneuvers such as mooring, casting off, buoy and anchor maneuvers, sailing maneuvers and MOB maneuvers. Our theory course including rental material, script, organization and registration for the exam only costs € 199. You will also receive a charter voucher worth €100, so the course will only cost you €99. The examination fee at the Zadar harbor office currently costs €109.
Which yachts can I steer?
With the Boat Skipper B license you can steer yachts with a GT (gross tonnage) of 30 without any horsepower restrictions. The distance to the coast or last island may be 12 nautical miles.
